Halloween 2021 - What We Know So Far - Part 3 - The North

Hey everyone. I hope these blog posts have been useful in helping plan for Halloween. You can catch Part 1 here and Part 2 here and part 4 here. Time for part 3 and this one will cover the North of England. (Updated 29/09/2021)



North East & Yorks/Humber

Scream Factory in Redcar will be opening for the 2021 season with not 1 but 2 new zones. Meat the Mechanics and The Purging will be joining the line up this year along with some other new scenes. The event will run for 13 nights throughout October and tickets start from £20.00 (Booking fees may apply). For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Scream Factory website.

York Maze Hallowscream are looking like they will reopen this year with their website being updated to say tickets coming soon as well as with dates. The event is set to run on selected dates throughout October from the 8th. Its also looking like their maze line up will be the same as 2019 with 2073, Corny's Cornevil, The Flesh pot, The Singularity and Barnaggedon 3D. One of the events to announce very early on that they would be opening in 2021 was Psycho Path. Located at Lintz Hall Farm in Newcastle the event will run every Friday and Saturday through October as well as on Halloween itself. The event will comprise of Psycho City, I-scream and their new attractions Corn-ered and Isolation. Tickets vary depending on which night you visit and start from £21.00. Scream Fields Scream Park in Skipton, North Yorkshire will run for 17 nights through October. The event will have 5 attraction. Deeprave, Death House, Operation B30 and Happy Endings as well as their alone attraction Afterl1fe. The event will also have a zombie scare zone. Tickets start from £19.50 (Booking fee may apply). Another event that announced early on that they were hoping to open in 2021 was Yorkshire Scare Grounds. This years event will feature 5 scare mazes in Factory of Fear, Totally Tropical Terror, Black Death, Haunted Hotel and Hospital Hell. The event will also feature two scare zones called Forest of Freaks Showma's Rest and Undead Central. The event is located near Wakefield and will run for 18 nights through October. Returning after a long break Doncaster Fear Factory will once again be scaring guests. This year the event will have 3 scare mazes and 2 scare zones. The zones are yet to be announced but the mazes will be Y.A.N.A. Gate, Eden and The Chasm. The event will run on mutliple dates throughout October. Tickets start from £19.00. In the North East Zombie Uprising have two locations. They have Borderlands in Sheffield and Nuke Town in Stockton on Tees. Both these locations will run in October. Borderlands will run on the 23rd October and Nuke Town will run on the 31st October. Tickets are £50. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Zombie Uprising website.


Scare Zone Northallerton are back in 2021 with Into The Woods. They offer two experiences over the two nights. The family friendly Half Scare will feature no scare actors, so is idealsfor kids and the Full Scare is when the actors come out to play. Tickets are £4.00 and the event will only run for two nights on the 30th and 31st October. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Scare Zone Northallerton website.


The Nightmare Rooms in County Durham will be back in 2021 with The Hotel. The evnt will run from 25th - 31st October at the Tantobie Centre. Tickets are on sale and are £20.00 for a group of four. More infomrmation and tickets can be found on the The Nightmare Rooms website.


North West


Scare Kingdom Scream Park near Blackburn was one of the first events to announce that they would be opening in October. The event will have 6 attractions in total. Included in your entry ticket will be The Paradise Foundation Insurgence, Manormortis Dead of Knight, Gothica, Body Snatchers Gunpowder Plot and Zozo's Grind House Skin Stitcher. The upcharged Psychomanteum will also be returning as Psychomanteum The Second Coming. The event will run for 16 nights in October and 3 nights in November. Tickets start from £20. Farm of Terror in Bacup looks set to return in 2021. From what I can tell from their website they will have two attractions called Hilllbillie Hell and Hellevator. The event will run for 5 nights on 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th and 31st October. In order to attend this event you must park in a Morrisons car park and get a shuttle bus to the event. If you arrive in any other manor or park on Bankside Lane you will be refused enty as well as your ticket being voided. Tickets are £20.00 (Booking fee applies). In the North West, Zombie Uprising has three locations. Wigan is home to The Mill, Liverpool is home to The Sanctuary and Greater Manchester is home to The Lab. The Mill and The Lab will be running in October. The Lab will be running on the 2nd and 30th October and The Mill on the 9th October. Tickets are £50. Contained Liverpool have been through a lot but that hasn't stopped them. They recently posted an update on Facebook to say that they had found a new location and that they were hoping to have both an escape room and a scare maze open in time for October. What we do know is that their Exorcist escape room will be ready for October. Tickets will be Groups of 2-3: £25 per player and Groups of 4-6 : £20 per player. Tickets aren't on sale yet.


Farmaggedon in Ormskirk have announced that they will be opening this year. The event will play host to three attractions in The Meat Locker, Contagion and The Beast of Terror. There will also be Zombie outlaw paintball and the House of Rock for your entertainment as well as the new Fear-go-round funfair. As well as all this they will have an attraction called Maze of Death. Tickets start from £19.50 and the event will run on over 15 nights throughout October. Spooky World in Warrington have announced that they will be opening. The event will offer five attractions in Evil Carnevil, Field of Screams, Haunted Hayride, Slaughterhouse and The Haunting. The event will run on selected nights throughout October and the beginning of November from the 8th. Tickets start from £23.50. Blackpool Pleasure Beach's Journey to Hell Freak Nights will be returning this year. The event will run on selected nights from the 8th October - 31st October. Tickets are £35.00. The event will consist of nine attractions, The Legend of the Cursed River Caves, Hell Tunnel, Valley of Carnevil Freaks, The Big Dark Abyss, Day of the Dead Ghost Train, Scare Maze, Devils Gate, The PledgeDark Magic and Blind Faith. Electric Goldfish will be a live theatrical production called The Mansion. Located at Antwerp Mansion in Manchester this 40 minute experience will feature live actors and will run for just 3 nights from 27th - 29th October. Tickets are £15.00. Muncaster Castle's Halloween event will run this year. Whilst the event is more family focused with activities focused on children they will have a scare maze. Its for 7+ so expect it to be family friendly. The maze is called The Emporium of Stolen Souls. Tickets for the maze itself are now on sale but tickets to enter the event are yet to be released. Fear Factory Live is coming to Manchester this October. Little is still currently known about this attraction other thn its going to be inside a traditional Victorian mill. We do know dates however with the event running for 16 nights throughout October. Tickets start at £12.50 for off peak days and £15.00 for peak nights.
