Halloween 2023 - What We Know So Far - Part 3 - The North

NORTH EAST


Psycho Path, located at Lintz Hall Farm, have decided to go big or go home this year. Psycho City, Isolation, I-Scream, Cutthroat Island, Thunder Dome and Cornered will all be returning but will be joined by Crawl Space, Doll House and The Hunt as well as a new Anarchy Arcade, new VIP bar and the Blood Bath Bar. Doncaster Fear Factory have confirmed that they will be back for 2023 with a new attraction joining the line up in Diabolus - The Keeper of Secrets. Chasm, The Legend of Crackle Hill, The Pogo Club and Y.A.N.A Gate have all be confirmed to be returning with the latter confirmed to be its last year. The event will run for 10 nights throughout October from Friday 13th. Tickets start from £26.50 (booking fee applies). Scream Factory returns to Redcar with its linear style scare event. This year sees three new zones added to the event in Killer Clowns, Waking the Dead and Toxic Cataclysm. The event will run for 14 nights throughout October from Friday 6th October. Tickets start from £24.00 (Plus a booking fee). Hallowscream at York Maze have confirmed their dates for this year. The event will run for 18 nights from 13th October until the 4th November. Retuning attractions are 2073, The Singularity, Corny’s Cornevil and The Flesh Pot. Barnaggedon 3D is set to be replaced by a new attraction yet to be announced. Yorkshire Scare Grounds near Wakefield have announced 4 new scare attractions and 3 new scare zones for their 2023 line up. Whitechapel Vampires, #IDT Interdimensional Terror, Krampus and Clown Clinic are the new mazes. The 3 scare zones are The Pack, Carnival of Carnage and The Harvest. Scare Zone Northallerton returns in 2023. As well as the usual Scare Zone, the website hints the second attraction returning in 2023. The Rainton Arena is set to host the Horror Car Wash again this year. There will be four new zones in Scream, Halloween, Zombie Apocalypse and Circus. Leeds Scare Trails returns for one night only on the 18th October with both their family friendly Pumpkin Trail and their Frightmare Trail. Tickets are not yet on sale. You can find more information on the Leeds Scare Trails Facebook page.


Sewerby Hall and Gardens presents Scareoween this spooky season. They will place host to one attraction in Blind Spirit. The Event will run for 6 nights between 26th and 31st October. Tickets start from £15.00. For more information and to book ticets you can visit the Scareoween website.




NORTH WEST


Blackpool Pleasure Beach are once again celebrating Halloween with their Journey to Hell Freak Nights event. The line up for this years event is yet to be announced. The event will run on selected dates in October from Friday 13th – Tuesday 31st October. Tickets start from £39.50. Scare City Experience returns in 2023 to the old Camelot theme park. They are slowly announcing the zones with Slaughter House, Carni Valley, Hellevate 666, Fortress, Resurrection and Infirmary already announced with more to be announced. Farmaggedon returns with what appears to be a largely unchanged line up for another year. Contagion, The Meat Locker, Maze of Death, The Beast of Terror, House of Rock, The Freak Street roaming actors, Scary-oke, Fear-go-round and Zombie Annihilation will all be returning. Scare Kingdom Scream Park will be celebrating 15 years of screams this year. This year will see 5 mazes, as voted for by you. They will be previous versions of Zozo’s Grindhouse, Manormortis, Body Snatchers, High Hopes Hospital and Gothica. Tickets start from £23.57. Fear Factory Live have announced two attractions coming to their new location of Preston, These attractions are Black Void and Transcendent, their live séance experience. The event will run for 16 nights from 30th September through October. Tickets start from £9.50 for just Black Void or £14.50 for both attractions. Newsham Scream Park is a new event coming in 2023. There will be 2 attractions in Insanitorium, The Orphanage. A third upcharge 18+ attraction will also be available called Helluminati. Farm of Terror in Bacup will be returning in 2023 with a 30 minute horror experience. Along with that they are also offering an experience called The Torture Room. Tickets and dates don’t currently look to be revealed but we are sure more information will be available on the Farm of Terror website.


Spooky world have teased a pirate theme or under water theme coming in 2023. There has been no other information released. For any information when it becomes available you can visit the Spooky World website.


Johnny’s Fear Factory is coming to Morecombe in Lancashire this year. The event will have 4 attractions in Ghost Rider, Weirder Things, Electrotag and Hallway of Horrors. The event will run for three nights on 27th, 28th and 31st October. Tickets start from £22.95. Family Friendly options are also available. Muncaster Castle in Ravenglass will host Scarecaster for 2023. As part of the event there will be The Vanishing, an immersive poltergeist experience.
