Every year we try to bring a couple of blog posts with everything that has been announced for this year's Halloween season in the UK, and this year is no exception. Like with previous years, this year the blogs will be split into 4 covering the South, the Midlands, the North and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. South West
Fear at Avon Valley, located just outside Bristol, will be returning in 2024. The line up hasn't been officially announced yet but it could be the same as the 2023 season. The event will run on the 11th, 12th, 18th - 20th, 25th - 27th and 31st October - 2nd November. Tickets start from £25. Watermouth Castle and family theme park in Ilfracombe will host Descend Into Darkness. This will be the attractions first scare event. It will feature 5 areas for you to journey through as you descend in the darkness. These are Cursed Forest, Carnival of Clowns, The Mad Maze, Voodoo Valley and The Haunted Castle. Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein in Bath has announced that their After Dark event will return this October. The event will run for 9 nights throughout October from Friday 11th. Tickets start from £16.50. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the After Dark website.
Salvation-Z is set to return to Gloucester prison this October. There will be four scare zones to experience throughout the prison and these are Bedlam, Psycho, Insanity and Deranged. The event will run for 9 nights on the 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st October and 1st and 2nd November. Tickets start from £30.00. Park of the Dead on the Isle of Wight have announced The Asylum Island. The attraction will run for 2 nights on the 1st and 2nd November. Tickets go onsale on the 27th September. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Park of the Dead website.
From the team that brought Scream Aloud comes Haus of Macabre, a new scare attraction coming to Arcadia escape rooms in Bournemouth. There is currently no other details yet, not even a website but we understand this is due to launch soon.
Phobia at Puxton Park in Hewish returns with 4 attractions for their 2024 event. These are The Haunted Tractor Ride, Journey to Hell, The Asylum and Freak Show. London and South East
Tulleys Shocktoberfest in Crawley returns for 2024 with some changes to its line up. Gone are The Island and The Circus of Horrors. Doom Town, Electrick Circus, Wastelands Penitentiary, The Village Coven of 13, The Creepy Cottage, The Chop Shop, Hellements, Horrorwood Haunted Hayride and The Cellar Imprisoned all returning and will be joined by CarnEvil Cabaret (show) and The Carving and one more new attraction yet to be announced.. Fort Amherst Halloween Horrors have announced that it will be celebrating its 40th years of scaring. The event will run for 7 nights on 20th – 22nd and 26th – 29th October. Tickets are £30.00. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Fort Amherst Halloween Horrors website.
Funland at Hayling Island will once again play home to Funland Fright night. The event will run for just three nights on the 26th and 30th October and 2nd November. Tickets are £20.00. Attractions include Destination Z, Freakland Amusements, The Theatre of Screams and The Witches Coven. We believe Destination Z will be the scare maze. Fright Nights at Thorpe park returns this year. The event will run between the 4th October and 3rd November. The attraction line up, has for the most part, been announced with Stitches, Trailers and Survival Games all returning and being joined by a 4th scare maze which is yet to be announced. Howl'o'ween at Chessington World of Adventures looks set to return this year. The event will run between the 5th October to the 2nd November. The London Bridge Experience and London Tombs have recently updated their website and released tickets for their Halloween special, this year called Dreadflix. The event will run for just 7 nights on the 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th and 31st October and the 1st and 2nd of November. Tickets start from £31.00. Kent Scareground have confirmed their return for 2024. Their attraction line up is yet to be revealed but the event will run for 7 nights from the 25th till the 31st October. Tickets are on sale. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Kent Scareground website.
East Anglia
Primevil returns in 2024. The event will run for 14 nights on selected dates between 17th October and 2nd November. Their attraction line up is unchanged from last year with The Crypt, Route 666, Circus of Terror, Warehouse 51 and Mayhem Manor all returning. Tickets start from £28.00. The Howl will be returning in 2024. Returning mazes Red, Squealer's Yard, Howl Valley High, The Full Moon Manor and The Shed are joined by a new maze for 2024 to replace Topper's Twister but little else is currently known about this new maze. The event will run for 16 nights from Friday 4th October and tickets start from £20.00 for just a street pass or £24.00 for single access to the mazes. Horror at Hinchingbrooke House have confirmed that they will be returning in 2024. The event will run from 26th October - 2nd November. There will be new scare zones.
